Hi everyone,

Pc will be used for gaming only and possibly streaming the near future
No budget really just looking for the PC to last a good 3+ years before I think to upgrade anything
Monitor that the PC will be connected to will be a Samsung G9

Am looking for feedback on the build overall and also thoughts about the case as I've seen mixed reviews .
Thank you

Hi there,
Really solid build here! I would actually say you could dial back in a couple of places.
For gaming and streaming the 5800x will be fine. Keeping the 5900x in won't do any harm, but it is obviously more expensive and is more geared towards productivity rather than gaming. If downgrading to the 5800x you can also go for the TUF X-570 motherboard, but again there is no harm in staying with the STRIX.
I don't think you'll need 64GB RAM off the bat; 2x16GB should be ample while giving you the option to upgrade to 64GB down the line.
Storage configuration looks fine; again I would probably downgrade the 2tb 980 to the Corsair m.2 drive; assuming it is there for games storage. You see almost no increase in load times between a gen 3 and gen 4 PCIE drive, and by the time games are optimised to be able to use that speed a faster, cheaper drive will potentially be available.
The 5000D is a really solid case. The main issue it has is a lack of fans. A lot of people order it and then phone PCS up to swap out its case fans with 3 LL120 fans. This can't be done within the configurator but has been done over the phone or with Live Chat.

All in all though, a fantastic looking build, big fan of the G9 and this should be a fantastic looking setup when it arrives! :)

That's a pretty bulletproof build, as you've basically gone for the best there is on all fronts! Various stuff there isn't necessary, especially the 64GB of RAM (32GB would be ample for any game there is), the 5900X (though it's not a bad choice as it's definitely a superior chip to the 5800X in many ways if it's affordable to you) and the second 980. The only change I'd make would be to the case. I personally would want more fans than the 5000D comes with, even taking the AIO cooler into account. You could add the three LL120 fans (you'd need to phone up for that) and get them put in the front of the case.

After that there's nothing that could possibly improve things in any kind of reasonable way.

Thank you so much for all your input . Great idea about the fans , didn't think it's possible to call them up and get it changed. In terms of the RAM I think I will go down to 32gb as well . I wanted to go for the 5000x rgb icue case but it wasn't available unfortunately so i went with second best in my opinion . Now it's just a waiting game for a few months I believe until everything will be ready.

Same as @sck451 ,@MrWilson I would change the 64gb ram for 32gb 3600mhz (as AMD works better with faster RAM), But as for the rest of the system this will be good for AAA gaming for 3+ years.

If you put the fans in the front of the case, I think it will be as pretty as the 5000X, and better for airflow. Overall I think it's the better choice.
