Advice on this spec regarding PSU

Hi Guys,

I'm building the beast spec below and have actually already ordered. Just want some quick feedback regarding the PSU I've taken with it. I'm not planning to overclock it and assuming I don't add anything extra to this setup in the future, do you think I'm good to go with a 650W or should I play it safe and go 750W? Also, apart from the cables, is there any other real difference between the modular and non-modular PSU's?

Thanks,

Simon

Hi,

I would say a 650W is just about adequate, (but no more than that), as long as it has the necessary 6 and 8 pin PCIe power connectors. The GTX690 will use 300W on it's own under a full load. The SSD brings the power usage down a bit compared with a spinning disk. You might need to be a bit careful about how many USB devices you attach though.

If you want advice you can phone PCSpecialist and ask for their opinions and how you could amend your order if it is already in.

I personally would go with something a bit more.
