The 3950X doesn't come with an AMD cpu cooler out of the box. Plus, you'd probably want an AIO liquid CPU cooler to cool that monster of a chip. I would recommend getting at least a Corsair H100i, and a H115i if possible.

I would suggest 115i as a minimum (280mm rad) on this and the 3900x

Thank you both for comments. I will change that in specs. I have one more question would noctua nh-u14s be enough? Or you suggest that the 115i is better?

The 3950x will run very warm at full chat. You want maximum cooling in there. The h115i RGB Platinum would be my choice. I don't think air cooling is suitable for these chips.

Totally agree. On all reviews I saw they recommended a 280mm closed loop rad as a minimum which the h115i is.

Perfect I will change for the h115i. Do you have any other suggestions on the build? Since in any case I have some time to wait the processor to be available again :)

Things do stick out a little bit for me but it's all up to you....

The case isn't the best choice for this sort of build IMO. You're looking for serious airflow to keep that chip and the GPU cool. I don't think it's particularly good.

At this level I would also consider the motherboard. The X570 Gaming Plus from Asus is meant to be a great budget option. The B-board in a build like this is really offset.

The new AMD chips love high frequency RAM. For the difference I would be aiming for 3200. I think the 3600 is still over the top price wise but the 3200 is fair.

The 660p Intel M2 drive isn't that great. The SX6000 is faster read, similar write and a few quid cheaper. If money allowed I would go for the Corsair just because. It's ludicrous.

A VS series PSU on a build like this is a under spend. The 3950 is going to be power hungry, you want it clean and worry free with the best components feeding it and the GPU. This build is screaming out for a RM750x

Cooler as already discussed. H115i Platinum has the best cooling plate on the market along with a 280mm rad. If you want to use the CPU intensively you're going to need some serious chill.

Wifi card isn't good for anything other than the odd wireless connection. If you actually want to use it daily I would push for the better card. If you don't need it then you can either ditch it altogether or keep it just in case.

The above recommendations are a dream build for anyone I would imagine.

Thank you THE_SCOTSTER! I have followed all the suggestions, but i cant post updated specs because processor is not available.

Nevertheless, regarding the case I was thinking about Fractal Design Define r6 but PCS removed it from the website but as far as I asked it should be back soon, would you say that is going to be better for the airflow?

About the H115i Platinum, as far as i read it the water system doesn't need any maintenance, but from your experience, how long these kind of system last? I have never used anything like it, so im hesitating a bit.

Wifi card, would u say ASUS PCE-AC88 AC3100 is better? Unfortunately, I have to connect to the router via wifi.

Define R6 is a fantastic case, it's the one I have. It's proven for airflow also. There seems to be a lot of cases missing of late (460x as well) so I think popularity from recommendations here is depleting the stocks.

The H115i Platinum is the cooler I have. Absolutely zero maintenance. I had an old H60 water cooler on my last system for 9 years. I passed it onto my Dad at the beginning of the year and it's still going so I think 10+ years is a fair shout. The H115 is a different beast as well, it will last many processor families as long as it can be mounted as it's a monster cooler.

For Wifi the AX200 should cover all your bases. I'm guessing you're going to be connecting to AC 5Ghz so it has you sorted, theres the AX now too for 2.4Gb throughput which is more than enough. The card will take whatever your router can throw at it and it's very cheap.
