I'm trying to create my next gaming rig and this is what I have come up with so far.

Is there any component im missing or anything that will cause a bottleneck affect.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Intel are now the poor mans CPU, they're awful chips, they're on a 5 year old design, they run hot, they're incredibly flawed with regards to security, they're unecessarily expensive and they don't perform well.

AMD are releasing new processors on the 5th of november which are going to be quite significantly better than any current CPU available.

What monitor are you pairing the build with, what resolution and refresh rate or make and model if you're unsure?

Is it only for gaming? Any VR or streaming?

Monitor is an Acer Predator XB271HU overvlocked to 165htz

I game mostly but do have VR and I looked into streaming with my current 1080ti rig but it seem to struggle a lot.

I'm in no rush so if the AMD processors are the way to go I could wait for that. Is there much difference in price of processor from the I9 10900?

The competitor to the 10900k would be the 5900x which I believe will be around £400 - £450, the 10900k is about £550, so substantially cheaper for an awful lot more performance.

What we can do is spec up a build for you to put through now, then you can amend it when the new CPU's and GPU's are available, there's quite a queue for the 3000 series GPU's so best to get your place now.

The 3080 is going to be overpowered for that screen, the 3070 would be more suitable, that will be out by then also and would be great for VR too.
