Just updated my BIOS to the latest version and my second hard drive no longer shows in the boot option menu, it shows in windows and is working fine, it also shows in the bios as a storage device, anyone know why it would no longer be in the boot menu option please?

Just so you’re aware, updating your BIOS can invalidate your warranty with PCS. I’d recommend getting in touch with PCS and letting them know, just to make sure you’re still in warranty.

Is this a PCSpecialist machine? Could you post your full specs from the order page?

Yes, it will do.
Just found the below on the website, have emailed them about it.

The m2 SSD, no issues with system or performance and 2nd HDD shows in storage in the BIOS and works fine in windows, just curious as to why it has vanished as a boot option in the BIOS ?
What are you booting off it though? If it doesn't have a boot partition, then it won't show as a boot option.

Booting nothing off it, just noticed it showed as a boot option in the BIOS before the update, now it only shows in storage. It does not have a boot partition, so I think my question is answered then? Thank you.

If it doesn’t have a boot partition as in windows / Linux etc, then it won’t show as a boot option, because it isn’t a bootable drive.
