The BSOD Doctor
How long have you had it? When did the BSODs start happening? Have you installed/updated any software or drivers? Have you installed any Windows updates? Have you added/removed any hardware (internal or external)?

Hi Thanks for your reply

I got it 3 weeks ago
It did a blue screen crash on the second day of use
windows is updated last checked today
radeon auto updates enabled for drivers and software downloads
external hardware: i am using usb to transfer video from my camera memory cards to the internal ssd and then i try to edit from there

I am not experienced with computers so any advice is great thank you very much

You can trouble shoot the BSOD by going to Settings, then Security & Updates, then "Troubleshoot" then select the BSOD option (After a BSOD).

Other than that you want to run a CHKDSK as that sounds either directly related to the drive itself, or a driver that isn't quite right. You can do this easily from a command prompt.

Edit: DDU advice from @SpyderTracks is a good plan before wiping and installing Windows again.

After that, you would probably want to download a clean Windows ISO from M$ and install from scratch to see if the issue follows. If it does, it's time for a return to PCS.

Thank you very much for the help I've completed the ddu as you advised and installed the latest amd driver

One question- I'm looking at the radeon performance metrics and there are extreme spikes every minute in the GPU utilization up to 100%. Is this normal and nothing to worry about?? My computer is doing nothing - no uploads, no rendering, nothing

thanks again

That doesn't mean your computer is doing nothing.

If you check taskmgr, that will show you what's using the GPU and other resources. Never assume because nothing's open that nothing's happening, especially with a new installation, there will be lots going on in the background.
