Brand New PC Restarting during gaming

Hi All,

I got my new PC earlier this week, set it up no problem, installed a load of games etc, taking up about 600GB out of my 1TB SSD.

Played XCOM Chimera Squad and twice during the game out of about 2 hours playtime, the PC has restarted. I've noticed the base unit is heating up, the top is quite hot to touch. It then happened during Old Man's Journey, but the base unit didn't get hot during this one so i'm a bit unsure what's happened.

Any suggestions? Here's the Speccy:

Many Thanks

Can you install iCue from here:

That should give readings for the fan speeds and pump speeds on the cooler, we need to make sure that's operating correctly.

When it restarted did it bluescreen or just reboot?

I see you've got bullguard installed, you'll want to fully uninstall that and just use windows defender, it's actually better and we've had a few people complaining of issues in gaming with bullguard.

Nice system BTW ;)

Haha thanks I thought I'd treat myself for my first ever brand new PC.
Thanks for the advice, I'll give it a go this afternoon and report back 👍

OK I uninstalled Bullguard and installed iCue.

The fans were set to quiet so i upped them to balanced, played XCOM:CS for an hour and the top of the unit is much cooler, and no signs of crashing or restarting. Previously there was no blue screen or anything, just rebooted.

Hopefully that's the issue resolved! Thanks for your help.
