Hi all

I could really do with some help. I have NO idea about PC’s and really want to make sure I’m getting the best I can for my money.

I’m a photographer and use Lightroom & Photoshop, I also stream live tutorials so need a PC that can easily handle all the above.

any suggestions on the below spec would be really appreciated.

Ok instant suggestion. Do you really want a liquid series. I mean desktop PCs work perfectly well for what you want and are cheaper. Also, what’s your budget and your monitor’s resolution and refresh rate

Maintenance and cost! Custom liquid-cooler computers need looking after; an all-in-one (AIO) water-cooling solution is much less labour-intensive and cheaper.

Ultimately, with the build you have posted, you are spending so much on water-cooling that the rest of the specification is not ideal to make it fit in the budget. If you went for a less exciting cooling solution, you can get a far better build for the same kind of price. This is particularly true because I doubt you need the 3080, which is the minimum option on the Liquid series: the 3060Ti would be more than sufficient for you.

I'd recommend a build that looks a bit like this, with improved processor, motherboard, memory, storage and monitor (and IMO case). The only downgrades are to cooling (though calling the H115i a "downgrade" may be a first in human history) and to the graphics card, but I think it's a much more balanced build, and still cheaper than your original. If you want to put £2.5K in, you could go for the 3070 instead, but I very much doubt it's worthwhile for you.

as you are a photographer, I would consider a monitor with a wider gamut. These can be more expensive, but Benq have a good range, some with hardware calibration.
