Captain Sir Tom Moore has lost his fight with Covid

Captain Sir Tom Moore passed away today at the age of 100.

A True Hero and a Legend in my eyes. He was an avid fund raiser, as well as being a true wartime hero.

I'm not usually a particularly emotional person, certainly not so I'd shed a tear, and I'm sure it's not just about this, but I have shed a few on this news.

and all the money raised by other people inspired by him to do the same / similar as well, so technically a lot more than just that £33m he personally raised.

Such a shame it ended as it did for him.

It is, but what a great and very long life he had. Times like this we should, where possible, celebrate that life.

Though it is a shame, as he comes from what many would consider the best of British.

I look at him and look around at us today, we are just a bunch of weaklings in comparison. Honest, decent, optimistic, resolute the list of qualities is embarrassing to us all. Were they just built of better stuff than us?
