If the PC is solely for gaming an i5-3570 would be a good choice. The spec below has a better graphics card, the GTX 670 should max most games in 1 screen. The 120gb Intel 330 SSD is £3 more expensive and you get 30gb extra compare to the kingston 90gb. If you are considering to SLI (add a 2nd gpu to improve performance) then you would need to upgrade the motherboard and psu.

(same with the ram). and lastely how well will the 560 perform because i dot think i will have the money to get the 670, but i will be upgrading anyway. also with motherboard should i upgrade to???

For the uses you mentioned there is no noticeable difference between 1333mhz and 1600mhz. If you go with an nvidia GPU and you wish to SLI then you need o upgrade the motherboard otherwise it is fine. Unless you are benchmarking, in my opinion, there is no significant difference running day to day applications between the 330 and Kingston SSD, you get an additional 30gb by spending around £3 extra with the intel 330 SSD.

What kind of programs do you use? Even an i3 could cope with high multitasking. I'd get an i7 if you're gonna use CPU intensive programs such as photoshop or video editing software. I'd follow the others' advice and get the 670 cuz the i7 won't help you in gaming unless you're into CPU-intensive games like FSX.

If you really do want an i7 then I'd go with that, I assumed your budget to be 1250 pounds based on your 1st spec.

thank you everyone for all the help!!!!! ive added to your reputation because all of you hve managed to talk some sense into me and give me a much better build for the same price!!!! Reubensolo, i will be playing what i think are cpu intensive games maxed out such as battlefield 3, batman aa, cod, crysis 2, skyrim, maybe starcraft 2 and their sequals (inclluding elder scrolls mmo and i might start into wow). i can see myself using video editing software in the future but not at the moment but im quite sure i will be getting into video editing (not completely sure to be honest), i would say an i7 would be better for now and for future proofing. do you think i should go for the i7 or stay with an i5.

Since you want to play those games with high settings I would put more emphasis on the GPU , an hd 7850 or hd 7870. If you still want to go with the i7 I would consider Wolvo's spec that includes an even better GPU.

also if their aare any other cases you would suggest please do, i would quite like it to glow green but im not completely sure on how to change the fans to green fans in a case

thanks i think i will be going with wolvo's exact build as its seems to be very goodthanks for all the help and will tht motherboard be compatable with sli and will this case http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sharkoon-AT...HPEE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1344434388&sr=8-1 work with the build???

The motherboard Wolvo's chosen is not SLI compatible. Regarding the case, as long as it meets the requirements it should be fine

To SLI the gtx 670 you need the P8Z77-V and at least 750w PSU.

Yup if you want this build to be SLI capable that will set you off an additional 80 pounds. If you wanna keep the same price then you'll have to drop the CPU to the i5 3570. If I had to choose between SLI or i7 I'd go for SLI in a gaming rig.

do u think i need ssd, cause im only really using it for the os and i think the caviar black will tke care of that. is there much of a difference???

The SSD is not essential, I would put more emphasis in the CPU and GPU.
