Clair Obscur: Expedition 33

I saw this promoted on Twitter. Normally I dismiss anything I see on twitter as it’s usually for rubbish mobile games reliant on in app purchases.

This really caught my eye through for the design, some of the scenery is breathtakingly beautiful and HUGE landscapes!

Im really hoping they have super wide support, as, like the Horizon games, this looks made for it!

It's out and it's doing really well. One thing I am liking is that quite a few people are saying it's a GOTY contender, but is only $50 when so many games are now $70 and there's a push to go higher with the Switch 2 and GTA6.

Turn based JRPG, visuals are great, story is great, gameplay is great if a little slow to get going at the start. Looking around 25-30 hours to get through main story depending on how much you want to explore off the beaten track.

It is a fantastic anthem to be fair. Perhaps not the best alarm clock though...

So to really push the French theming, you can fight optional Mime bosses throughout the story. These will reward you with various cosmetic options including the “Baguette” outfit for each character, plenty of stripy tops, onion necklaces and berets available to unlock!

If you play NG+ you also have the opportunity to unlock Baguettes as weapons for all characters.
