Cleaning with compressed air

Hello ;)I brought my shiny new pc from pcs on 25th July, loving it so far ;)
The problem which concerns me is the the dust which is obviously gatthering inside, on the fans etc. I haven't had a proper look inside yet, but this is one future worry I want to get sorted. I have seen loads of reviews on compressed air cans, but I am still not 100% sure which product would be the best to clean my case fans.
The keyboard and monitor are not a problem atm, but the case fans and other bits inside are definately things that concern me. If anybody on these forums could give me some advice, I would greatly appreciate it ;)

i don'tuse compressed air mate, they don't tend to get too clogged up if you clean them every few months, i just use ahoover and an old toothbrush ;)

You can find cans of compressed air in pretty much any hardware store, and if you ask someone there they will show you to where it is stocked. There's no particular brand or type, it's just compressed air, and usually it is marketed for cleaning out computers and keyboards and the such (for example, the stuff I have has a picture of a keyboard being dusted out on it).

Just remember, short bursts of the air, and not too close to the components, and use the little straw thing that comes with to better direct the air. And keep the can upright or you'll end up with cold nastiness all over yourself and it is not pleasant.

An old pen, remove the inside and tape the pen casing to the end of a hoover, so you can get into all the small areas. Been using this method for many a year now. Works a charm

Whether 90 or 10,000 litres, 11, 16, 45 or 50 bar, all KAESER compressed air receivers are designed and manufactured to the highest quality standards to ensure exceptional safety and durability. You only get genuine KAESER quality with genuine KAESER air receivers. Moreover, they are exceptionally corrosion resistant and guarantee perfect sealing. This is due to a combination of the precision thread finishing process that takes place following galvanisation, and the extensive protection measures that are taken during transportation.

I don't think those products are suitable for blowing dust out of ya PC ;) they are a bit too 'industrial'

I haven't had to clean out my pc, as all intakes are filtered.

However, i had to clean an old GPU that had dust on it, so i just used some ear buds and kitchen roll. I always heard with compressed air it's best to spray in short bursts as mentioned above, but to leave the pc for a few hours after incase any moisture has formed on the components.

Personally, i wouldn't use a hoover due to static, but each to their own!
