I intend giving my computers a spring clean, can anyone recommend what brand and where to buy a couple of cans of compressed air online at a reasonable price that will do the job.
The local stores seem to be a bit of a rip off to say the least.

I always find it a rip off for what it is :)

Can't help much at work (cant get into my amazon account), but I just searched it on Amazon, looked at the reviews (odd that you need to review...air) and went with one that wasnt too expensive. End of the day, even if it costs you more than you'd like, at least you know you are protecting something much more valuable...

...your ability to search for limitless...uhm...stuff, yeh stuff online :D

Edit: See, Rakky knows :D

I don't think the brand really matters, I got my last can from Amazon :)
It's just that I've read some reviews about some products being next to useless,so I was hoping someone could link me to one they've tried and can recommend.was the one you bought OK and can you give a link?

I'll let you know how good it is when I get home, I didnt order it long ago and haven't quite got round to trying it yet - its on my ever-growing list of things I need to do :) (though I think clearing up that mud I got everywhere yesterday needs to be sorted first :))

Thanks Rakk,I'm not too fashed about the price really,I just don't like being ripped off.I went to the local PC shop today and they wanted £12,and there's no guarantee really it would do the job, hence why I'm fishing. :)

Ok, so after trying the air duster, it didn't really move any dust about, it was about 3-4quid for the can, though it did make my hand cold when I test sprayed it :).
Admittedly I think the entire insides of my PC are coated in a thin layer of immovable by air sticky greasy dust from when I was in my previous flat and the Pc wasn't too far from my kitchen and there was no door to stop the grease spreading everywhere.

I bought these to clean out my old PC before it went into the kids' room. It must have had a hundred weight of dust in there and one can did a grand job, it even dislodged a solid lump of dust between the front fascia and the chassis which I'd never managed to clean before.

Thanks Boozad,I'm not keen on buying from ebay though.

It's not the best place that's for sure, but for twelve quid's worth of air it's not so bad.
Yes,I'm tempted, don't get me wrong I've bought quite a few items from ebay, had a few bummers though, just makes me a bit wary.

Aye it is :(
At one point I actually took the graphics card out and had to use cotton wool buds to move the dust from the fan - and I still only got rid of about 75% of the sticky dust lol - though it did reduce the running temp of the card by 10 degrees
But I'm going to be getting a new PC in a few months, and my new place doesn't have the same dust problem, so all should be well soon :)

This is what I bought. Seemed to do what I needed. Of the 4 pack I used 2 so far, but that was due to not doing it for a while, so went into the second can to make sure. Am sure 1 can will do each time normally :)
