Control Center not installing!

Hi,

I tried to re-install control center using the download from the account page on the PCS website. However, only 'Control Center Service' is visible in the programs list. There is no control center app, and now the keyboard lights do not come on. There is a desktop shortcut for control center, but it opens nothing etc. Anyone any ideas? Windows is up to date too.

Yes. I uninstalled it and planned ro reinstall it as it wasn't saving settings for the keyboard lighting, e.g the lights wouldn't come on unless I went into the app and turned it off/on again.

mines has been doing the exact same, it will install and ask to restart pc but then the shortcut is just white and wont open

I had this issue too after a great install of Windows 11, installed CC and the icon was the same, the application files in the program location would not run either, got in touch with PCS and gave them remote access, they resolved it by downloading a different version from another source (something similar to Dropbox) and that worked, I wander if the files have somehow become corrupt on their server so the exe not to work. Best bet is to phone PCS and have them look into this further since it seems a lot of people are having the same issue. They fixed it for me so I'm sure they can for you too.

Mail can take up to a week, best to phone

Can confirm an updated version of control center fixes the issues with installing etc. Maybe a mod could create a pin thread informing of this?

It's completely normal since windows 95 days. Wiindows is updating all the time, drivers sometimes have to be updated to work with a change that's occured in some part it's connecting through in windows.

There's nothing unusual about it.

So, control center got my keyboard light back working. But it doesn't save the settings for it, meaning I have to go into CC to turn on the keyboard light after booting the PC up

Best to go back to PCS, either your windows isn't configured correctly (CC is a master driver that ties into all other drivers, if they're not configured correctly, it won't work), or it's still not the right version.
