Corsair 4000D Airflow Case. Is this damaged?

Hi,

I received my new gaming PC towards the end of last month and I had an issue with part of the tempered glass on my case (Corsair 4000D Airflow). The tempered glass panel in one corner, doesn't sit flush with the case, like it does on the opposite side of the panel and I wanted to ask if anyone else has experienced this? Looking at the non-tempered glass panel, it protrudes at the extact same place, so wondered if it was a design. Pushing/touching the glass in this corner also makes a rattling noise as it touches the case.
The corner where this has happened, is the bottom right corner.

I have attached photos of what I am mentioning, to help explain it better.

PC Specalist support have offered to take the PC back to replace the case, but before I do that, I wanted to make sure this wasn't a design. As I have also replaced the CPU cooler, and they want me to revert it back to the stock cooler, before sending it back, so before I go through all that, thought I would check with everyone on here.

Thanks very much for all your help!

Hiya. The side panel on my 4000X is a pretty snug fit, I have to give it a fairly firm tap to get it flush. I’m not suggesting you get punchy with it but the design does facilitate a close fit.

Could you potentially take a pic of that corner with the side panel off too?

Hi AgentCooper, thank you for your reply.

Thank you for confirming it should be snug fit! I understand that it only sticks out very slightly, but I am afraid because when you tap it, it does rattle slightly.

Attached are the photos with the side panel off. I have also attached photos of the other side (non-tempered glass side)

That looks like its been damaged to me, the glass panels should sit flush with the case, it looks like the case is deformed here:

It's been pushed in somehow about here:

This is a straight line layed on it, you can see the deformation

Looks like it might just be the front panel that's damaged mate. they could likely send you a new panel and that would solve the problem without having to send the entire build back

Hi RichLan564,

Thank you very much for looking at this in such detail and explaining how it may be damaged.

As this is the case, as well as some slight scratch on the inside of the case when the GPU was likely put in, I will return the PC back to PCS for a case replcement!

Many thanks for everyone's help!
