Someone asked me what I thought about it, and straight away after looking at the site my impressions were its basicly going to be a massive sale of other companies web ad services?

Would someone care to have a look and see if they think much more of it?

Cant really find any reviews online, just don't want to tell my friend its a massive waste of time if someone can spot something ive missed?

I think you are correct, you will pay £75 to spend the day signing up to companies affiliated to or directly run by Barclays... However it depends what your friend wants to achieve, some of them may well be applicable to his/her business. They could of course pay the £75, take the advice offered and end up researching different ways of doing it.

I naturally have a deep distrust any time the bank tried to help. I am in the process of setting up a business at the moment and they do nothing but stand in the way, yet the very second we told them to jump off a cliff and we would finance it ourselves we have had nothing but offers of help. It seems too convenient that the sudden appearance of large sums of cash in the business account coincided with the offer of loads of help...

Back on topic (don't get me started about the banks whatever you do!) The site seems to be offering nothing you cant get elsewhere, but if your friend could use a taster, for what it relatively cheap in the grand scheme of things, then it might be worth considering if they have 0 knowhow with SEO, facebook marketing etc. 'cos that what I assume they will be teaching you.

It's a huge scam, nothing but Barclays charging you to listen to various business partners talk common sense and information you can find in five minutes on google, you have to sign up for all sorts of crap and advertising malarkey to get those vouchers they offer, and the best bit is that Barclays are getting paid twice, once from you and once each from the "partners" for bringing them clients.

It just looks like a day in which companies will be giving out vouchers for you to use on their sites for advertising online, which are probably all "save £10 when you spend £100", I wouldn't bother going, but I guess it wouldn't hurt to go if you live close to it, if it'll be a trek to get there then don't bother.

Most online advertising companies are quite cheap already and usually have deals on, which probably can't be used with the vouchers anyway, making them useless.
