Hi,

Just ordered a PC from here and I have issue with CPU temperature. As soon as I start it, it goes directly to 80 degrees and as soon as I start an application, it goes beyond 90 degrees.
When I am rebooting the PC, I have a message that I have issue with CPU temperature and it sending me directly to the bios.

Any idea what to do or correct please ? Bear in mind I don t know much about PC...

wow that is crazy, just to be sure you have removed all internal packaging, from inside the case

Yes I think so. There was nothing inside the PC anyway.

Should I still use it ? Isnt this temperature damaging the CPU ? I sent an email to support at the same time than asking question here...

Is that Noctua NH-U14S cooler going to be suitable for a 5900 in that BeQuiet case? Does that case have enough airflow?

Honestly, I'd have thought not and I almost went with a BeQuiet case myself as a second choice from PCS's selection. Seems you can have good airflow/cooling or a quiet case but not really great at both. I did a good bit of research and found that while a BeQuiet cut the running sound of my specs by maybe 10dB against what I got (Corsair 4000D Airflow) the temps would be very different indeed, by potentially more than 10C at the top end. I'm not entirely sure a 240mm AiO (which I have on the 5800X, known for being spiky) would be a major enough improvement either though 280/360mm should be enough for most use cases. I wouldn't have gone aircooled anyway.
I see on OP's build there's no extra fans added. I don't know what comes with that case (usually 2-3 fans from most cases I've seen) but I'll assume it doesn't fill all the potential slots. Also, no idea what the fan curves/settings are as well as that 3080 will be adding a decent bit of heat to recirculate.

I hate to say it but hope it's another, non cooling related issue that OP has, and so less intensive/expensive to correct but what that might be I have no idea.

Noctua make excellent air cooling solutions and whilst it wouldn’t allow the CPU to reach anywhere near peak boost, temperatures shouldn’t be that bad in ambient use. Someone has either done the worst paste job ever when applying the MX-4 or there’s something proper dodge going on at hardware level.
