Differences in hard disk drive performance

Hi,

Is there any major performance difference between the following HDDs.

2TB SATA-III 3.5" HDD, 6GB/s, 7200RPM, 64MB CACHE

2TB WD BLACK 3.5" WD2003FZEX, SATA 6 Gb/s, 64MB CACHE (7200rpm)

The 2TB and 6TB Western Digital high-performance HDDs are only selectable as 2nd hard drives. Any particular reason, why?

Any help would be appreciated, please.

Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't say the performance differences are really worth the £50 price premium of the WD Black.

(and a recent update: http://www.gamersnexus.net/guides/2796-wd-blue-vs-black-vs-red-in-2017 )

The WD Black would be near the bottom of my shopping list for a system, with my budget going to everything else (better CPU, RAM, GPU, case, cooling, etc) first. Not because it's bad, but because it's a lot of money that could go much further elsewhere.

There might be a reason, or it might just be a vagary of the configurator. I can't think of what a good reason would be.
