Hello,

I've had my PC specialist computer a year now.

I've moved home and I need to know if I have a wireless network adapter on my PC?

I can't find it by looking on control panel etc, but I would've thought it would've come with it automatically?

Problem is I can't get Ethernet or wireless at the moment so using my iPhone.

What am I doing wrong?

A wireless card does not come as standard on a PCS PC build. It's an option. If you log into the PCS site you can see all your old orders, and whether you ordered one.
If it's a PC you can open it up and have a look at what cards are in it.
I don't know about laptops.

A wireless card costs a bit of money and takes up a slot, so you would not want it forced on you if you were going to use a wired connection.

Spider / Spuff, thanks for your assistance and confirming and clearing that up for me, makes sense now. I thought that was the case and I just checked my specs and it was for wired Ethernet connection.

I've just purchased a 20m white flat Ethernet lead from Amazon for £5.

My room does not have a working phone line socket but my flat mate does, so I've put the Hub in his room behind me and that cable will do the trick. Better than getting a dual band wireless dongle which was the other option...
