Pricing is a major downside of it. I wouldn't have bought it anywhere near its RRP. Most are playing on Gamepass with less than 1m units sold so far (at the time of writing).
And the crazy thing is even at £70 for the standard version, that’s still under what a lot of new AAAs are targeting!

And the reason they’re all saying - the cost of development has gone up

The real reason is that all these VC companies and conglomerates buying up all the studios and pushing them with insane targets so they can get a buggy broken mess out that’s still in beta stage just in time for annual financials to hit and reap big bonuses for the execs.

Then they simply wrap up the studio, sack all the major talent that made it happen and buy up the next 5 studios.

Each time this happens, entire new companies have to be created with huge money and time spent gathering the talent pool only for the cycle to happen all over again
