extra hard disk on optimus iii

hi, i have an optimus iii 15,6 and i want to add a second hard drive(ssd) and keep the dvd drive as well.... is this possible?
and if it is possible, would i void the warranty if have my ssd place buy another computer store, since i cant send it back to pcspecialist because i live i greece?

The 15.6" Optimus III has two hard drive bays plus the DVD drive,so there should be no problem,I dont think it would void your warranty,but best check with PCS.

My Optimus III is arriving soon (friday or monday) And I have a Crucial M4 to put in to the spare bay. I'll tell you how it goes, and take some pics if you want?

It's very straightforward, just take out the screns on compartment labelled "2" and insert your hard drive. It connects to a port that provided both data and power. Then boot up and your second hard drive should be showing in "My Computer". If there is already a hard drive is this compartment, remove cover "3" instead and there will be a spare slot there.

i have the 15.6 optimus iii so there is no 2 part its one cover for everything.... so i guess i take that off... right?

Looks like the image I uploaded was incorrect - I have corrected this now and also added a shot of where the two internal drives are positioned once you have removed the back cover. :)
