I have a Defiance IX RTX 3060, and quite regularly when I turn it on from cold the fan that's under the Esc key immediately starts buzzing. Sometimes it's fine until it gets to the desktop and then it starts, sometimes it's when I start up a game or other activity and the machine starts to warm up.
Usually, a hibernate-and-wake fixes it right away. Sometimes it takes a couple of hibernates.
I've tried dismantling it and cleaning it as best as I can, but I'm not sure I can remove the fan without also removing the heat pipe, and that's a little more invasive than I want to get.
The machine was serviced and re-pasted by PCS earlier this year, it was happening before that was done but I think it's happening a little more often since then.
Very occasionally the buzzing will be preceded by a tic-tic-tic-tic sound when it's in the brief BIOS stage of the start up, then a full buzz at the windows unlock screen.
Any suggestions?
