Fingerprint sensor - fickle

I installed Windows 7 x64 and the laptop drivers on the Vortex laptop. For a few days (I was not really counting) the fingerprint sensor worked OK. I would swipe my left finger and it would "switch user" to the admin account, and if I swiped my right finger it would "switch user" to the normal account.

As some stage now it seems this functionality is lost. Now it only "listens" when I am at the "switch user" screen, but when I am logged into an account it is completely deaf. So now, if I want to switch user, I have to manually click on "start/switch user", get to the logon screen, and from there I can see the BioExcess logo on the top left of the screen and only at that point it is "listening" and then when I swipe any finger it takes me to the relevant account.

Has anyone else experienced the same issues?

I've got no idea, never had the chance to mess around with a fingerprint scanner. I'd suggest the standard "check drivers etc. etc." thing and ensure you're all up to date, but failing that my next port of call would be to contact PCS about it.

Hopefully another forum member will have the answer :)
