First laptop for photo editing

Hi,

I've recently discovered PCS while looking for a new laptop which I will primarily be using for photo editing, possibly a small amount of video and music editing in future too. Having reviewed the forums, and based on my (admittedly limited) knowledge of current components, I've come up with the following spec. but would appreciate the experience of others to see if what I've put together makes sense. My main criteria are: 4K display, fast processor, fast SSD, plenty of secondary storage. My budget is ~£1800.

Comments and suggestions welcomed!

Thanks :)

My plan was O/S on the Samsung, working area for images etc. on the Intel, and the Seagate is for a local backup of data on the laptop and less frequently used content.

I would save the money on the 4k screen and switch the 660p out for the SX6000.

The laptop will still output 4k to a monitor without any issues at all, in case that was a worry. There's just no way a 15.6" screen is going to be optimum for 4k.

A decent 4K monitor is beyond my reach for now, but if you don't think the 4K is really worth it, I'd be happy to save a bit of money...
Good shout on the drive swap too.

I'd second downgrading from the 4K screen, but for slightly different reasons - they're not really time-tested yet on laptops, all the questions about OLED burn-in remain, plus for your use-case I saw a LLT video where he questioned how appropriate OLED is for visual artists, as the colours can be saturated and therefore not totally trustworthy. They are supposed to look absolutely amazing, and I was really tempted too (I've just put in an order for a Vortex IX myself) but I'm not really up for being a beta tester for a new piece of hardware at my own expense.
