Hi guys
I have been reading this forum a lot whilst waiting for my custom build, and really like the friendly and quality feedback given here.
I haven’t bought a PC since 2004, as I had switched to Mac to use Logic after Apple bought out Emagic. I have now ordered what I consider to be a beastly machine (in all but GPU) for music. I need the build to smoothly run large projects (i am a heavy user of samples and drum breaks), rewiring of Reason with Ableton whilst having WAV editors etc running the background.
Here is what I went for:
Intel Core i7 Quad i7-6700 (3.4GHz)
ASUS Z170-P: ATX
16GB HyperX FURY DDR4 2666MHz (2 x 8GB)
1GB NVIDIA GEFORCE GT 740 (all I need)
250GB Samsung 850 EVO SSD
1TB WD Blue WD10EZEX
CORSAIR VS-350
Corsair H80i GT Hydro
ARCTIC MX-4 EXTREME
CORSAIR SPEC-03 CASE
BENQ GL2250HM LED 21.5"
Any comments or suggestions welcome! I did hours of reading over a few late nights, but I am still a novice.
Very excited for this build, PCS have a great record and I patiently await the finished product. It should be here this week, but given the time of year I am not banking on it too much!
