I'd not considered putting fans on the base before, any forum members with this configuration? Seems counterintuitive to me, but I'm pretty ignorant about this stuff.

This is opening up whole new build ideas for me - any problems with it? Like weird drafts on your desktop, that was my first though, as I'm often working with paper and PC at once.

There are some newer case designs coming out such as the Evolve X2 which is explicitly designed for bottom to top cooling.

I was researching cases recently and if this had had more support for 3.5” drives I would have gone for it, it’s a stunning design

The PC is far enough away, and behind enough other equipment that I wouldn't notice any draft anyway...plus the Thunderbolt enclosure causes more noise/draft than the PC does.
