General build issues

How about CPU fans? How many cpu fans I can use? 1 - 3 or?
The case would support a 360mm rad (so 120mm fans), but PCS doesn't sell those, so you'd have to go for 1 or 2. It also depends on how many CPU fan headers the motherboard you're looking at has, a lot of them have 2, not many have 3 (I believe)

Why don't you tell us your budget, the monitor you have or are looking to use and what you'll be using the PC for and we can get a build sorted for you. Alternatively, you could have a go yourself and we could make any changes if need be. If there's anything that doesn't work the configurator will tell you so.

3 on front, H115i on the roof (2) and a rear exhaust. 6 fans is all you need, the key feature of the case is... top mounted 360mm radiator is optimum for AIO’s like H150i, as the rad wont block the RGB, like a front mount will.

We’re all a bit lost as to what’s going on here as you’re not answering any of the questions raised?

Do you already own the build?
Considering OP was asking about cases I assumed they were looking to buy, although looking at the format of the build, it looks like it's already been purchased. Whether it's been built or delivered I'm not sure.

@khittik Thank you for providing your spec. But we need answers to some questions. If you'd be able to respond to the following questions, that'd be great.

1) The build that you've linked. Is this a build you own and has been delivered or are you still waiting for it to be built? If you have it, why are you enquiring about cases?

2) if it's yet to be built please could you provide us with
a) Your budget/ how much you're willing to spend
b) The monitor you're using or plan to use (either make and model or resolution AND refresh rate)
c) What will you use this PC for? If gaming, what sort of games and will you stream? If it's for work is there any particular programs you need to run?

If it's yet to be built then theres a lot we could change to optimise it. Currently Intel is a bad choice and AMD is much better, there's a thread here that you can check out about the issues with Intel. Although making this switch would mean cancelling and re-ordering if that's something you're okay with (which I'd highly recommend). I won't say too much more as if it's a PC you already own it's best not to point out the errors but there's a lot we would've changed if that is the case.

Once you answer these questions we'll be able to assist you further but for now we're not really sure what to do as you haven't answered many of the questions asked.

That PSU is woefully underpowered for the GPU, to the point where it's not possible to configure it on the PCS configurator. You need a bare minimum of 600W

This is why I'm confused. That build wouldn't work on gaming load, it would just shut down.

@khittik Your threads were all over the place, I've merged them together so people can see what's happened here.

Unfortunately you were warned about this build before you received it but chose not to follow the advice.

The build you have just isn't suitable at all and will never perform very well without a major overhaul.

When it gets out the door before we can save it.

But seriously. This needs a new PSU and an extra stick of RAM immediately, or ideally a faster set of 3000+ Mhz 16GB.

I have got my customised PC from PC Specialist few weeks ago and the above mentioned happened. I restarted more than 10 times. I updated drivers.

Could someone fix this, please?

Should I send my PC back?

please help!🧐

As we've already advised numerous times, that PSU is not adequate for the build, and it's never going to perform well when under load, it will just crash out.

It will be too late to send it back, you're past the 14 days return period, it's working as expected, it's just badly designed. You really should have taken the advice.

The best you can do is buy an appropriate PSU and fit it yourself, or pay for PCS to upgrade it. I'm not certain if they do PSU upgrades though as it's essentially a full rebuild.

Apologies for the inconvenience caused. The time you advised the PC had been dispatched, it was too late to change. But based on PC Specialist website, it was recommended I pick this PSU to be compatible with my RTX 3060 TI, so I believe it is the seller’s fault as well

So just want to confirm it is not the problem of my GPU or driver problems? All the drivers have been up to date.
And, how many watts of PSU I need?

I believe the only parts that can't be upgraded through the PCS Upgrade system are the Case and Motherboard. I have the option to upgrade the PSU with my order. Then you can either pay for it to be fitted or fit it yourself

The PCS PSU guidance is frustrating. It gives the bare minimum on what your PC will need to run but not what would be more comfortable and give you more longevity with your build. We always go a few hundred watts over what the PCS configurator suggests.

For what PSU you should get, the minimum I'd recommend is a TXm 750W which is £94 but the RM850W and RMx 850W would be better decisions at £98 and £111 respectively. Whether you pay to get it upgraded for you is your choice but it's something I'd highly recommend as the PSU is one of the most vital parts of your PC.

I just placed an order and it’s at pre-production stage. What should I change
You had only just placed the order when you were advised the build was very poor
A very poor build.

do you have this at home or due to receive ?

is it a Curry’s order or did you Spec it yourself?
And then you were advised on a more suitable build after that.

Anyway, damage is done. You will need a 750w minimum with that GPU allowing yourself 100w headroom.
