Google +1 Button

We recently added the Google +1 button on our website, next to our logo.

Does anyone have any opinions on the location of this button? Do you like the button there? Is it annoying? Should it be merged with the facebook button to make two smaller buttons and keep the website tidier?

i think perhaps make it similar to the fb one but make them both slightly smaller

Interesting to note how much quicker the Google +1 loads than Facebook...

The facebook one is instantly recogniseable but struggled to figure out the google one. In terms of dimensions, it's fine.

Is there anyway of +1 threads, in the same way you can fb like them? Or does +1 only work on the base url?

I'm sure there will be, but we've not set anything up yet other than the button.
