Gpu Power Question

Hi guys,

So my new PC Specialist computer arrived today. Super happy. Fantastic cable management and great service over all.

Just had a quick question, I have a RX 6800 XT merc edition. I noticed that it is powered with a 8 pin splitter. Attached photo.

I read else where while doing my research that it's recommended to run 2 8 pin cables. I will post pictures of the cables and current setup.

What would you guys recommend? Is the additional 8 pin splitter required?

Thanks for any replies.

I'm not sure if the TXm has any alternative option, you have to run a splitter.

Well the alternative would be to run two splitters with only half of each one plugged in. Would that make any difference?

As the one photographed on the rug is a spare that came boxed so I could also install that one too

It only has one PCIe power lane, that's the point.

Unless it doesn't, obviously physically check, but the photos online suggest it only has one, the other one is the CPU lane.

Here is a picture of the back of the Psu. Does this help?

Yeah, so you can see they're clearly labelled, one is a 6+2 pcie lane, the other is the 8pin CPU lane. You can't use the CPU lane for PCIe devices (obviously needs to be used for CPU input on the board.
