In the market for a new PC, I use it for a lot of graphic design work in illustrator, photoshop etc. a little bit of video editing, and some gaming. I'm not into super graphic intensive games, I'm a sims 4 and two point kind of girl! Am I looking good to go with this build? Thanks!

This is a more solid build: better fundamentals (motherboard, power supply, arguably even cooler) and only £30 more expensive. The CPU may be a little behind in absolute raw performance, but the platform is better, with future upgrades possible, and, as @Ekans2011 describes, Intel 14th gen is probably not the way to go if you want the PC to last...

Thank you, that's really helpful! Any points me going to a Ryzen 97900 for the CPU or will the 7 7700 be sufficient you think?

Perfectly sensible if you can spare the budget. Cooling could be an issue. The air cooler is probably still good enough, but I wouldn't absolutely swear to it.

Will probably just stick with the 7 7700 then. I'm not in super need of the excess and I wouldn't want to worry about the cooling, which would require even more money going in to this.
Thanks so much for all your help!

Actually, a little research suggests that the power difference is minimal, and may even be in the 9700X's favour. So if you're willing to spend the extra on the CPU upgrade, the cooler will still very likely be sufficient.

I'm not sure which CPU swap the OP is asking about, as the Ryzen 9 mentioned would be the 7900X or 9900X, and the Ryzen 7 is the 7700/9700X.

Oh, you're quite right, I misread the typo as 9700X. Going for that would be perfectly sensible. The 7900 would offer less of an advantage in everything except long video renders.
