Hard Drive instillation

hello im new to Pc's and want to install a hard drive to the motherboard

i was wandering which leads i would need for this type of connection, (refer to picture) also would i need to plug the power supply into it, if so which lead is needed for that as my power supply leads do not fit any of the connections in the hard drive

You are looking for the following:
1xSATA Connector DATA Cable, which most likely connects to the motherboard up in the thin-small port of the drive
1xSATA Power cable, which goes from your PSU into your thin-wide port of the drive.

EDIT: The SATA Data cable is a seperate cable. Usually a few cables ship with the motherboard, but they do not ship with new hard-drives.
