Help building a gaming/streaming PC

Hiya!

Could someone please assist me with putting together a gaming/streaming PC? I am completely useless when it comes to this in terms of parts and what is specifically required for all of it to work as intended - the only thing I know is that, processor-wise, I'd rather go intel than AMD.

Any sort of help would be greatly appreciated!

My budget is around ~£2000 give or take (would require a monitor as well, with a proper refresh rate as I play games such as Dota 2 and Warzone but will may be trying out newer titles as well since I'll actually be able to do that now).

Thanks a bunch in advance!

Can we call it something like £2200 for PC and monitor? I'd suggest something 1440p and 144Hz+, such as the Gigabyte G27Q for around £300. Other options are available, though prices aren't great right now.

Then I'd get a PC along these lines. There's not much to choose between AMD and Intel right now. Intel may just have the performance crown, but not the value or upgradability crowns. Personally I'd prefer AMD, but I can see the argument either way.

Thank you so much for your input and apologies for the delayed response. Would you please be able to recommend a different case? I wish to change out the 3070 for the 10GB RTX 3080 but when I try to proceed the website is telling me the following:

"The graphics card you have selected has a length of approximately 32cm and the case you have selected can only support graphics cards up to 31cm in length when configured with the Corsair iCUE H100i ELITE CAPELLIX RGB Hydro Series High Performance CPU Cooler. Please select a different Cooler or alternatively choose a different case."

Also, do I need to change out anything other than the case should I opt for the 3080 instead?

Thanks again.

The Corsair iCUE 5000X will take a GPU up to 400mm

I also wouldn’t recommend the 3080 with your build, unless you’re happy to blow your old budget. You’ve got a strong, well balanced build specced above for 1440p gaming and streaming. The 3080 is a 4K card and will be bottlenecked by your monitor in a large number of games that you will play. Obviously it’s your money and your purchase, but I wouldn’t recommend cutting corners on any parts of your build to fit in a more powerful GPU that you don’t need.
