im looking to get a cooling stand but i cant afford it at the moment, and i know you can buy components from pcs after an order but would that include a cooling stand as well?

That looks solid, I would however recommend one thing, firstly, drop the SSD to the 120GB version, this means that you can get a 750GB scorpio black as a second hdd. It also means that you can have both more space and you will be able to fit the cooling stand in.

On my current laptop my hard drive is 220gb and im at around 200gb used up so i was thinking i'd be fine space wise, so was just wondering if there would be any other benefits of this, such as the hard drive not getting crammed up allowing to run better?


EDIT:Another question i have is how much difference would dropping the cpu down to the i7-2670QM (2.20GHz) make?

If you are only using the laptop for gaming (i.e. not HD video editing or 3D modelling) then you should drop to the i7-2670QM as you will get almost 0% performance gain in games by having the i7-2760QM. So in answer to your question: Yes you should save the money on the CPU. However, if it were me then I would keep the 240GB SSD so you can install the OS + many applications and games without worrying about how much space is left (and this should also allow the SSD to last longer as there is more free space available to the wear leveling algorithms in the SSD firmware).

How much would downgrading the CPU effect other processes on the computer and using other programs? im just making sure i ask everything cause i dont know much about any of this.

Unless you are performing very CPU intensive tasks (such as HD video editing or 3D modelling, etc) then you will see no disadvantage in getting the i7-2670QM.

okay so im thinking it wouldn't disadvantage me at all really, also i was wondering how easy would in to be to install a ssd at a later point in time and swap it to the first drive, and would i be able to swap graphics cards later on or not?

The SSD is easy to install, software is where it becomes slightly difficult but it isn't bad. Graphics cards are very hard to upgrade, you have to find one with an mxm connection I think but more importantly the cooling needs to fit the chassis which is hard to find.

whats difficult about the software for the ssd?

EDIT: Also how much difference between the 1.5gb gtx 560 and the 2gb gtx 580?

There is about 60% difference between the two. The software is fine if you know what you are doing, it is just the copying of the os and other programs without making a mess. You should be absolutely fine.

ahhh okay I see what you mean, I think I'd have to research on copying the os if I did take that as the route to go, and speaking of copying programs would i be able to copy my Microsoft office from my current laptop to my new one?

do you have the product code? if so you can go onto the microsoft website and download it again and use that code to authenicate it.

yer its called backup or something but im not sure what versions its availible in i did it for my father what office do you have? i might be able to find it for you.
