I ordered it on Monday
As far as Christmas delivery is concerned the bit I've highlighted in red is key - if all your parts are in stock then it will get built before Christmas. Compromising your spec in order to keep a Christmas delivery by changing parts based on stock levels may not be wise, you could end up with an unbalanced system that's not suitable for your needs - depending on what the parts are and what you change to of course. The website is still guaranteeing delivery before xmas (with no Asterix) .
However, as much as I can gather (as I need delivery before xmas) from talking to them, if your order gets into pre-production and everything is in stock when they run around and pick your components then yes, it is guaranteed as long as you ordered by this Friday. If there is an item out of stock at this point (and not coming back into stock in the next few days) then they contact you telling you to change to a component that is in stock at that point to continue to guarantee xmas delivery.
If you have been in 'processing' for a few days keep an eye on the configurator to see if what you originally ordered is still in stock, if there are components now out of stock then think what alternative would be ok (but don't actually change your order necessarily) in anticipation of being told yours is out of stock. You can actually update the order yourself at this point BUT, when it comes round to your order being in pre-production they might actually have that component again - or - they may have put enough by based on orders they have received - this bit is NOT guaranteed as allocating your components when you order (rather than going into pre production) is susceptible to too many variables - crucially that stock levels are usually based on what they expect to be delivered - which at the moment is a bit of a lottery for them.
The above is excluding anything to do with 3070/80/90 GPU's.
If any of the above is not what the experts understand on here as being a summary of the process then please shout - as I will be straight back on the phone to them! lol My order is for a friends son so I am a bit twitchy about all this.
A big asterisk missing there I think (on the PCS banner)! The website is still guaranteeing delivery before xmas (with no Asterix) .

It will likely take longer this year.We have this 'will I get it for Christmas?' panic every year. Early December is rather late to be ordering a custom build at the best of times, at the moment it's likely to be suicidal.![]()
Which one are you having? Not Rudolph surely?! [emoji33]It will likely take longer this year.
Santa is down a deer as we are having it for Christmas dinner (bits of it).
this means less ‘deer power’ for his sleigh.
What can I say, a large red nose is a bit of a target through sights lol.Which one are you having? Not Rudolph surely?! [emoji33]
Let's hope it's not foggy on Christmas Eve then.......What can I say, a large red nose is a bit of a target through sights lol.
It will depend on what you’ve ordered. If you have an RTX 3080 or one of the new AMD graphic cards expect a considerable wait, around 2 months at the moment.
I ordered it on Monday I ai the had any emails yetthat GPU (1660 Super) is now not due until January on the configurator (which may not be accurate). So if your order is in the 'processing' stage then you may get an email asking you to change it unless you are happy to wait. I am in the same situation, waiting for for order to go into pre production. Since ordering 4 days ago my case, motherboard and GPU are now all out of stock on the configurator...!
Read the contents of this link.please note that the website (and also in the configurator) is still guaranteeing Christmas delivery if you order before Friday. (and there is no asterix).
So if you get through the configurator and at the end it does not say "Please note that whilst we aim to dispatch all orders for delivery before Christmas, the following products are on a pre-order basis and therefore a delivery date cannot be guaranteed:" . ..
....Then I think it's pretty clear they are still guaranteeing xmas delivery (unless they contact you to the contrary). There is nothing in the process or ordering that says otherwise....... People on the forum saying otherwise is not very comforting and is not in agreement to the messaging during the order process.
now I am portraying it like this on purpose to flush out any issues/opinions. I would be (and will be) upset if this front page, headline 'guarantee' is not kept to if I am contacted about specific components and and change my order to ones they tell me are in stock. We can of course make allowances as to why it may not be built in time for xmas, there are loads of very good reasons ----- but this is not being said by PC Specialist, only on these forums which are not the official line...
[sigh], yes I know, and it says 21st Dec as of today and is not guaranteed.Read the contents of this link.
