How to move OS to another drive

I received my order yesterday. I have 3 drives a Samsung 980 (for OS), Firecuda 530 (for Games) and a Samsung 870 (for Storage/Work). There's been a mixup and the OS has been installed on the 870.

I have the Windows 11 recovery image USB. How do I change my OS to the 980 drive?

I just received an email just now from PC Specialist:

"Below is a guide to downloading and installing a fresh copy of Windows 11 on your system. Please note that this will wipe you files and programs, so be sure to make an external backup before proceeding. You will need a USB Flash Drive of at least 8 GB in size. This USB device will need to be formatted, so remove any important files from it.

Then, go to the link below and download the Windows 11 Media Creation Tool to a separate computer.

Download Windows 11 (microsoft.com)Click Download Tool Now and follow the installation prompts.

Run the tool and select the language, Windows 11 edition and 64-bit architecture. Click Next. Select the USB Flash Drive option and select the USB Device to use for installation. Wait for the process to complete.

Take out the flash drive and plug this into the back , power it on and rapidly and continuously press the key. This should go into a screen where it asks you to select a Boot Device, select the one called PMAP or USB and continue. Then select your language and continue. Agree to the licence and continue. Select Custom Installation. Select “Disk Options”. Delete all partitions on the drive you wish to install Windows on. Then, install the operating system to the Disk's Unallocated Space by selecting ‘Disk x Unallocated Space’ where
x is the disk you wish to install the OS on, and click Next. It will say Windows is Installing, when installed, you will need to download and install drivers for your system. These drivers should automatically install with Windows Update once an internet connection is established."

As I have the USB recovery I purchased, the first part is done? (Yes)
I plug the USB and power on the PC and continously press the key (which key? any one?) (It's F8)
What about the existing OS. I'll need to remove that? How? (delete all drive partitions if you wish change OS to another drive)

Answers in italics I found out later from PCS. Also need to download drivers for Motherboard and GPU and reinstall iCUE app for Corsair.

I'm honestly not sure whether the recovery drive is the same as a drive you can use for installation. I think it's more for "resetting" your PC, rather than for reinstalling the OS. But I couldn't swear to that.

As to the other questions, it's probably the Delete key. If not, it'll be F2. And once you have the OS installed on your 980, you can just format the 870 in Disk Management.

Thanks for your responses. I contacted PC Specialist and they sorted it for me remotely. The USB I purchased is the correct one for reinstalling OS.

There are some more steps involved than listed above in my previous post, such as how to delete the original OS and reinstalling drivers for the Motherboard etc.
