Bigfoot

Grand Master
What is your budget and what monitor will you be using? This isn't the best use of the money. The case is not the best, the CPU is an old generation and beaten by the 5600x. RAM needs to be at least 3200 MHz. storage, cooling and PSU are weak. The extra sound card is not needed, nor is the extra card for USB ports. A much better build can be achieved for £1500.

Hi there, Before we're able to advise on this spec, we'll need some info- What is your budget? And what monitor will you be pairing this with? (either make and model or resolution and refresh rate)

Once we have that info, we'll be able to get you the best for your money!

Damn that green bar!!

My monitor is IIYAMA X2481HS 24" LED WIDESCREEN, D-Sub, DVI-D, HDMI 1920x1080 and my budget is estimate £1500 with all the accessories like a desk, chair and webcam. that all adds £170 - £180

Is this a monitor you plan to buy from PCS or one you already own? And I’d imagine those ‘accessories’ will likely set you back a bit more than that

This should do you nicely for your uses.

Monitor wise, the IIYAMA you mentioned is not a monitor I'd recommend. for this setup you'd want to look for 1080p 144hz monitors. The AOC 24G2U and MSI Optix are two of our favourites and should set you back about £150-175 depending on which one you go for.

MSFS is an unbelievably intensive game and you'd need a beast of a GPU to run MSFS at 'high FPS' even at 1080p. With some settings tweaks I'm sure you can get it to an enjoyable experice but it's really designed like a new Crysis (it'll get easier and easier to run as the tech improves.) The 3060 is the best GPU you can afford with your budget without making serious comprimises so that's what I'd recommend sticking to.
