I'm a noob, pls help!

Something around this build fits my budget. I've got no clue what I'm doing though, appreciate any feedback!
Keep getting a message telling me that the motherboard doesn't support USB-C but I don't think I'd be too bothered by that.
Let me know if I should upgrade/downgrade anything, also if theres any bits that would be useless that I've added or anything thats essential that I've missed, excited to get this polished and order me a new computer!

I wouldn't go for that build; it's already an outdated system and it would last a couple of years before you had to replace it as it’s not upgreadeable.

Apologies, missed that question! Purpose would be for gaming; BG3, Starfield and Cyberpunk are currently the most demanding games that I play. I also use photoshop and aftereffects daily, photoshops not a problem but need something that stays cool for those long renders on aftereffects.

I assume gaming will be the primary purpose, so I'd go for something like that, leaving roughly £1000 for the monitor and peripherals.

I'll look through this build now but scanning through it seems good to me.
Glad I posted here before I bought, I'm using a laptop atm and after 4 years the graphics card went kaput and ofc I can't change it or find any fixes. Wasn't aware my initial system choice was non-upgradeable, you've potentially saved me from another mistake. Cheers for your time and expertise!

Your original spec was on the AM4 socket which is now end of life. AM5 is the way forward for the next few years and the build Ekans2011 has specced looks great.
