Hello all, I've been on the search for a new laptop and while I've known about PCSpecialist for years, I've never ordered any PC here, so this might be a first time.
The nice screen, low weight and big battery (with USB-C charging) while packing a more powerful H-series CPU on a non-bulky body is ideal for me on this laptop model and really hard to find in regular OEM models.
I am trying to keep the budget below 1000€ (excluding Windows license). For my kind of usual work - needs a solid CPU and a lot of RAM - and since this is not meant for gaming or heavy duty video editing, I prefer to sacrifice dedicated GPU to increase RAM and SSD sizes and speeds.
1- If I want to do further upgrades of RAM or SSD, do I have to return the laptop to PCSpecialist or is the upgrade allowed to be done by myself or a knowleadgeable technician? This will be my daily driver so I cannot afford having it away from me for days or weeks. I could start with only 256GB fast SSD like Intel 760p and 16GB of RAM for now and then expand them later if the procedure is allowed.
2- Is choosing the Ryzen 7 4800H over the Ryzen 5 4600H worth it for general use (not gaming at all, maybe occasionally some video editing)? It's only 60€ of difference but it's almost the same price as expanding RAM to 2x16GB, which would make this laptop very future proof for me. But as I said, if RAM upgrade is allowed, I could choose Ryzen 7 now and increase RAM later.
3- Also, I do not live in mainland Portugal but in the islands (Azores), is that going to be a problem for delivery? (I read somewhere in the website that transport is through road delivery so I wondered if marine regions are included).
Thank you very much for the help.
