Think that GPU is gonna struggle, have a look at this thread- https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/forums/threads/desktop-building-guide-sept-2020.67892/

Scroll down three posts and you can get an entry level 1080p build within your budget
Thanks for the reply, I think ill just stick with the 970 for the moment. I've been looking at replacing the i7-9700 with a AMD Ryzen 5 3600X and changing the motherboard to an ASUS Prime A320M Micro however, I don't know if this will negatively effect the performance or if a GTX 970 GPU would fit in this motherboard?

You are on a seriously resticted budget yet you are buying RGB lights and adding extra fans?

Its also a build that you wont be able to upgrade, generally a poor choice of parts given your purpose and would likely become redundent in a couple of years and would require a replacement.

Given your aim, and budget, a complete system off the shelf may be better suited.
The alternative is to actually look at a mid-level system with proper upgrade options and see if theres a way to afford it, as that would last you 10 years with a couple of choice upgrades as you go, rather than looking at starting all over again in 2...

Generally, AMD will wipe the floor with Intel at the moment.
Unless you are going to play minimal settings on 1080p and push for 240MHz/FPS to do competitive gaming...

Otherwise its AMD all the way.

The PSU will give room to upgrade the GPU so if you do go for a more mainstream display spec (1440p 144Hz) you will be able to just put a suitable GPU in without replacing.
Motherboard keeps your options fully open for CPU upgrades much later so you can get the most out of the machines lifespan.
Decent WiFi that also includes bluetooth.
Budget but still decent performance drive choices/setup.
Case isnt amazing, but its a good one given price/build (far better on a lower budget to spend extra on a case that will perform well, rather than RGB lighting and extra fans)

Would ethernet be faster then the Wifi?

Generally speaking, ethernet (LAN) is going to be a little faster/more stable, yes.
WiFi has come so far though that if you are just an general user, it wont be something that affects you.

The AX200 WiFi adaptor is very good, to the extent that it would be recommended over ones that are 5 times more expensive and it gomes with bluetooth. Dont forget you can still always plug a LAN cable in if you prefer anyway... its only £18 and would still be giving you bluetooth even then.

I doubt it, but it's all relative to the spec of the whole system, its uses, and also the monitor where a bottleneck might land. Have you got any more info?

Doubtful, but I guess it depends on what context?

What's the rest of the system, can you post the specs? What will you be doing at the time (assume gaming, but maybe not)?

Edit: Slow

Nope, you're all good there. Only things I'd suggest is adding a 500GB M.2 drive (the 512GB PCS one is cheap as chips) to put your OS and programs on, and drop-kicking Chrome as far away as possible and going for Firefox instead. Otherwise, great build (y)

Thanks a lot for the help and recommendations!

We love you Ukraine
You would need an 850W PSU as a minimum

You don't mention what case you have either? That will affect things.

Also, what monitor are you pairing it with?
