Ivy Bridge upgrade

Hey, I am considering buying a Genesis III in the next few days, my only gripe is, will your upgrade service be operational by the time ivy bridge rolls out? I would love being able to send my laptop back in to you guys and upgrading to a new ivy bridge processor.

I don't suppose anyone has any idea if that would be possible, and how much it would cost do they? Would I get a large discount due to PCS getting my old cpu? (I wouldn't really want to do it if I had to pay full price for the CPU like £200 or so, would rather wait)
Or would it be a better idea to just wait for ivy bridge then buy my genesis III?

Thanks

I think that you would have to pay the full price for the upgrade. But call pcs for the official verdict.

I'd consider waiting for ivy if that's what you want.

The Genesis III does not support Ivy Bridge, so it cannot be upgraded unfortunately.

Irrespective of this, we don't offer free upgrades on future CPU models because we don't sell second hand components.

At the moment no laptops support Ivy Bridge because it is not launched. On the 8th April we will lanch the Vortex III range which will be the first chassis to support Ivy Bridge. However, initially the laptops will only be offered with Sandy Bridge processors. Ivy Bridge processors are not launched yet and will not be available for a little while yet.

The release date for the ivy bridge processors (none mobile dual core processors) is the 29th of april correct? will you be stocking laptops with ivy bridge on that date?
And do you know if any other chassis will be ivy bridge compatible by then?
Or do you think it will be a while after that before the full ivy bridge laptops are released?
Thanks

Eventually all our chassis will be Ivy Bridge compatible, and we will be offering Ivy Bridge processors as soon as they are launched.

If, as you quote "(none mobile dual core processors) is the 29th of april" then irrespective of whether we have Ivy Bridge laptops in stock, we will still not be able to sell you an Ivy Bridge processor because the mobile CPUs will still not have been released.

We will have stock of Ivy Bridge chassis when Ivy bridge processors are released. That's all I can say for now. :)
