I'm going to be using it for general computing and college work. So basically things like surfing the web, using Microsoft Office, coding in Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 and playing around in Flash and Photoshop.
It's a massive upgrade from my 8 year old Compaq laptop (AMD Athlon 2.2Ghz, 1GB RAM).
I really can't wait for it to come. :)

Also, as I am putting my own Windows 7 on this, will I have to install drivers myself does the graphics card etc? Will the computer come with the necessary driver installation CDs?

Yea it will come with all the driver cd's you need, but it's best to get them online, as the ones online are the latest. When you install windows, it should download the drivers for you and prompt you to update, but you can do it manually by going online :)

I'd recommend upgrading the case to a 310 elite. Good looking case and good cooling :) is 250GB enough for all your files? You could also drop down to an i3 as you probably wot use the i5 to the most of its ability. I3 may be more for your money with your needs :)

yep it does come will all cds but as Corfate said the latest updates can be found online. I would get a faster hard drive as you wouldnt want your computer to be slow when loading applications etc. The caviar black is very good or the seagate barracuda

I got an i5 because i might play the odd game on it and I want it to be able to do as much as possible, and do it well. I couldn't afford a faster hard drive, and 250gb is more than I need right now. I'll get a better one when the prices drop again.
