So the keys O,K,9 and comma stopped working this week, Has this happened to anyone recently or know if it a hardware issue?
First they started intermittantly working and now just stopped, I assume this is nothing I cnt fix (external keyboards work fine btw)

My warranty is 3 Year Gold Warranty (2 Year Collect & Return, 2 Year Parts, 3 Year Labour) and laptop was bought in Nov 2020

It will be the keys failing rather than a software issue. You can conform thos with a clean windows install.

You can either get it replaced although on TongFangs, the keyboards aren't modular so you have to get the chassis replaced, as you're out of warranty this may be pricey.

Or you can just use an external keyboard.

So back again. Charging started intermittently failing today and now it won't charge at all and I think what sounded like a spark shorting the charging port so now won't charge at all and laptop won't power on.

Between this and the keyboard failure seems to be a motherboard issue. The main question I have is can I reuse the memory and hard drive for a new device with Pc Specialist?

I have 32gb memory (Too much I know) but could I get smaller memory to keep cost down and just replace with what's in what I have now? Same with my 1tbh Smashing HDD

I'll be importing to the EU so trying to keep costs down with customs etc. Any help appreciated etc.

Doesn’t sounds like you’ve done any troubleshooting yet, both those issues could just be a windows issue and charger issue

It’s DDR4, modern systems are now on DDR5, so the RAM isn’t compatible.

You could carry across the drive, but it’s Gen 3 and modern drives are gen 4 with double the speeds, you could have it as a secondary data drive and have a gen 4 as the primary OS drive.

I can't start the device now which is the main issue. Even plugged in it won't boot up. I think I asked this before but there is no way to boot up via USBC charging?

It's likely the battery is flat as it's not charging, but leaping to it being the motherboard is not very conclusive without basic testing. It's very common for chargers to fail, that's perhaps a more likely conclusion. You can test the charger with an amp meter.

No, none of the PCS laptops support power delivery.

I have two chargers. That's the first thing I checked. Both had same issue unfortunately. I'll keep it plugged in and check again in an hour see if anything shows. Thanks for your help
