Lafité II

I too would like to see any updated images. Also what has actually changed? (I was going to buy a lafite and then noticed this)

I'm very interested in finding out what's changed with the Lafité II as well, I've been planning on buying one so knowing what differences there are with the new version is rather essential.

I don't think a simple change to internal options would warrant a name change to Lafité II, would it? It could just be the same but I'd like to know if there are differences.

New pictures appear to have been posted. Apart from the upgrade to Skylake processors and Graphic Cards, there is an additional USB 3.1 connection that apparently replaces the LAN port that existed on the original Lafité and the keyboard is now backlit.
The M.2 hard drive menu now lists Super Fast Samsung SSD however I'm not sure they're actually able to run at the PCIe advertised speed.

Yes, they usually change the name if the CPU or GPU generation changes. I believe the only real difference other than that is slightly different ports

Just got this email back from PC specialists

Hello,


Thank you for getting in touch, there are a few changes to the chassis but the main one is the 6th Gen chips, the chassis now no longer comes with a LAN port as it is thinner, as such for a LAN connection you would need to purchase a USB 3.0 to LAN adapter from us, also the new Lafite II comes with a backlit keyboard,



If you need anything else, Don’t hesitate to ask,

The new pictures are up now showing the backlit keyboard. However the chassis really does not look that much thinner. (the detailed specs doesn't seem to be updated so it's hard to tell)
