I bought my girlfriend a laptop from Pc specialist the other year and she wants to do a factory reset to help speed to her laptop back up.

Is this advisable, and if so how do we go about doing it?

Thanks

It's worth doing especially if you have a standard hdd as they do improve a lot speedwise after a refresh.

You'll need all drivers from clevo if a clevo chassis or msi if not, then after the reset you'll lose all your data so make sure it's backed up, then you'll have to reinstall each driver which is pretty straightforward.

Vortex Series: 17.3" Matte Full HD LED Widescreen (1920x1080) is the make/brand (i think)

What drivers are we talking about? graphics drivers or others?

That's the clevo model P170SM-A.

If you go to www.clevo.com.tw and find the downloads section, then search for the model number which will be in the group P15xsm-a/P17xsm-a. There you'll get all the available drivers, you'll need all but the graphics which you should get direct from nvidia.
