Laptop won't turn on

I've never had a problem with my laptop until last night. It just won't turn on. I've tried draining the power and then charging it up, it still won't turn on. When I do press the on button (which normally turns blue and now does nothing) a small green light at the bottom turns on - I think telling me that it is charged? There's no starting up noise and the screen does nothing. I really have no idea what to do and would appreciate the help.

If you remove the battery (if you can) does it start up then?

I don't know if I can? I hardly know anything about laptops. The laptop model I have is P670RG.

If you can't remove the battery at all (and if it's at all possible do so, and try it just on the charger) then leave it fully off with everything unplugged from it (except the charger of course) and on charge for 24 hours - don't use it at all during this time. After the 24 hours, unplug the charger (but plug nothing else in) and see whether it will boot. If it doesn't you either have a dead battery or a dead charger, either way you'll need to call PCS.
