The Recoil 16's both the 5080 and 5090 also have the same 150w + 25w boost.

They also don't thermal throttle much without the Water cooler, They can get hot under heavy loads, just like other high end laptops. but the Watercooler isn't a necessity, its more of an addition and you'll get marginally better performance and low temps with it. But I must reiterate, the laptop wont perform worse than most others without the watercooler.

With the MSI having 6400MT/s ram speeds, isn't that an intel CPU? You could also get the Intel from PCS and get 6400MT/s RAM (you'd have to fit it yourself though).

The Prebuilt Intel Recoil 16 is currently on offer, that's the one I have.

How are you finding the laptop BTW, build quality wise? How is the keyboard, and audio quality (I'm an audiophile), temps etc. I am expecting it to be noisy

Ah that's the bit of information I missed. OK that solves everything then. PCS it is, MSI must be OCing the RAM.

Any good laptop cooling stands? They are all OOS at PCS ATM.

I can put an order in when I get paid end of month. 1600p screen and mini led a lone makes it superior tbh. 4k is too much for these specs.

Might just replace the ram with the same 6400 XMG use, as they also use 6400.

I would go with the water-cooler rather than a cooling stand. Unless the cooling stand is for travelling with.

My recoil 17 is pretty quiet when on water. Mostly just low a hum from the water pump.

Sound is OK in headphones. If you want to go full-on audio nerd though you might want to look at a good DAC.
