Im planning on taking the optical drive out of my laptop to replace it with a hdd, just ordered an internal caddy for the hdd, but does anyone know what sort of external case will fit the bluray drive? Its the Sony BD-5730S 6x Bluray writer. I dont know if its an ide or sata connection (believe its sata since it should just be a direct swap with the hdd) which means something like this wouldnt work? Not sure...

on a side note i dont see why it wont work, i wouldn't of bought it otherwise. I even paid more for external case for the drive than the one i showed you on amazon. Only because my new SSD was alot cheaper and just thought i might as well buy them both from the same site. So i hopefully will be busy at weekend, no doubt pulling my hair out because cant get my laptop working again! we will see!
