medieval Total war 2 HELP!!

Hi, seems that this game does not run well with my system for some reason, I use a i5 3570k and a GTX Titan. The game runs real crap, anyone know how i can fix this, will really appreciate it. (side note, Rome 2 is amazing, much better after the patches, ceaser's Gaul expansion is epic!!!)

in what way does it run badly? have you checked the steam game cache? (if its a steam copy) or tried reinstalling the game?

seems to lag more than my old pc which was real poor, and the fps are not good!

hmm, sounds odd mate. Latest drivers?

I'd reinstall the game mate.

Is this not a case of the older TW games not being able to utilise more than one core? Have you checked your task manager usage while playing?

It should definitely still run better than your old PC but perhaps it's a compatibility issue with new hardware or something...?

Yeah thats what I think, it seems to run a little better since i first tried it on my new pc, everything is on the best settings so i think the only thing i can do is to put some of the demanding setting down.

Might Just be my graphics card, they are old games so backwards comparability might just bee the issue, which sucks, but nothing I can do about it.

First would like to say thanks for the help, yeah I did a total re install of the game, it is fully up to date as its a steam download, which does mean I do not the the compatibility option in properties. Also checked the game cache. nothing seems to have changed. Annoying cus I really wanna give the third age mod a try, looks epic (lord of the rings total war mod)

That looks awesome! Thanks for letting me know about it, will definitely look out for TW sales now to see if I can grab the base-game cheap.

They really should think about doing an official TW:LOTR, they'd make a mint!

yeah, well the guys who make total war got the rights to make a warhammer game, (medieval 2 also has a warhammer mod) so we probably will see a warhammer total war. Ain't Lord of the rings but still fantasy.
