I have got a new system from pc specialist which comes with a free copy of Metro Last Light, and am wondering, does it come as a code, or on a disk which can work on steam?

You should get a voucher code.

If you don't get a code get in touch with PCS - its possible that they have ran out of codes though unfortunately (if it is the same as recent Nvidia promotions there are a limited number of codes available).

Not necessarily. Sim City was being given out along with AMD A Series processors but I didn't get one. I only realised when I stayed on the PCS home page long enough (I rarely do as I'm straight into the configurator) and saw the ad at the top, I emailed them with my order number to see if I qualified and they sent me a game card out straight away. Not a knock on PCS as they responded in lightning fast time, it just doesn't hurt to ask if the PC didn't turn up with it!

To the OP, I'd just shoot them an email with your order number to inquire.
