Ok so I'm looking for a TV or a movie. I was positive it was the Reacher series to be honest but my GF is watching it so I'm thinking I must be mixed up as none of it is ringing true yet.
So here is what I remember....
I've googled quite a bit and I'm amazed that I'm not able to find it. I think google is getting absolutely trash for searches like this now, it used to be amazing. Now I need to go 4 pages into dross that's sponsored or trying to sell me something to get to actual hits
So here is what I remember....
2 guys that know each other, I think they were possibly previously friends. One is known to be a brilliant sniper/shooter and in the very end it turns out he is the bad guy. The hero knows that he isn't going to be a match for this guy at his best, but when walking through his house (when they are pretending to be friendly) he spots the sniper rifle showcased and, unbeknown to everyone at the time, he sabotages it to fail upon firing (second or 3rd bullet I think he sabotaged). He knew that the first bullet would likely miss as the distance was too great for a 1 shot, the second one would be the dial in and possibly get a hit but thought a kill unlikely, the 3rd bullet was game over and face off for the would be assassin.
